Kashmeera Patel
Research Associate, Climate Policy
Kashmeera Patel is a Research Associate in the Climate Policy vertical at the Sustainable Futures Collaborative (SFC). Her research spans key areas of climate policy analysis, including climate finance, green industrial policy, and carbon markets.
Prior to joining SFC, Kashmeera worked at the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), where she played a pivotal role in energy efficiency policy planning, design, and implementation at the sub-national level. She contributed to multiple editions of the State Energy Efficiency Index, which assesses the annual progress of states and UTs in energy efficiency. Kashmeera has a background in energy efficiency, gender, and public health, with a proven track record of producing high-impact research and reports for government and international organisations. She also brings extensive experience in social impact communications, leveraging her expertise to communicate complex policy issues to diverse stakeholders.
Kashmeera holds an MA in Development Studies from the Institute of Development Studies, UK, and a BA (Hons.) in Sociology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
